The vision behind Quarter Moon Goods was inspired by Daniel Christy, a person who believed in showing up for others. He believed in honesty, laughter, hard work and determination. Dan also had a passion for creating, bringing ideas to life, and finding ways to make a difference.

Dan was a proud Marine, who deeply valued the brotherhood he found in service. His time serving his country reflected many of the qualities he carried throughout his life: loyalty, strength, perseverance, and a commitment to serving others.

Above all, Dan was a devoted father. His 6 boys were one of the greatest sources of pride and joy in his life. He loved being a dad, creating memories, sharing knowledge and watching them grow. The love he had for his children was something that shaped who he was and the legacy he leaves behind.

Those who knew Dan knew how genuine his heart was. He was someone who listened without judgment, who cared deeply and offered support to anyone in his life struggling with mental health. He knew firsthand how difficult it was to live with depression and sought to show others that they were not alone.

In October of 2025, after many years and tireless efforts, Dan lost his battle with depression and ended his life.

His loss has left an indelible impact on his family, friends and community. In the midst of grief, the vision for Quarter Moon Goods became a way to honor the person Dan was and continue his legacy of compassion, creativity and service.

By offering a curated selection of vintage treasures, Quarter Moon Goods aims to fund community initiatives that provide connection and suicide awareness, inspire creativity, support families going through a similar loss, and create meaningful opportunities for second chances.
